Where to buy local produce in Falmouth and Penryn
Cornwall is a fantastic place to get stuck into the finest fresh ingredients from field to fork, but being in the know about where to go to get the freshest eggs, the juiciest chops, or the tenderest steak often needs some local knowledge.
Luckily we’re here to help you out with some of our top tips for fresh produce in the local area. You’ll taste the difference!

The Food Barn at Tregrew
An idea born out of lockdown. When the market for shellfish in France and Spain disappeared overnight in March 2020, Martin Laity and Tom Knights of Sailor’s Creek Shellfish put their heads together and came up with a way to sell their produce and that of other local producers. The result is The Food Barn which sells local, ethically sourced produce from local companies on the site of a purpose built farm shop and barn at Tregew. With a sound system, benches inside the barn, and food trucks selling coffee, pizzas and other hot food, there’s a bit of a Hipster vibe going on here. As well as organic veg and locally produced meat you can also pick up local cheeses, wines, beers and bakes. Well worth a stop off if you’re heading to Flushing or Mylor.
