"We had a wonderful 3 nights in Little Avalon. It was spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen. It was so nice to have a little private area outside with a picnic table. An extremely comfortable stay in all. Rich was lovely and couldn't be more helpful."

"A fabulous cottage, with everything you need. It was beautifully clean and great to have milk, coffee and tea for a much needed drink! Parking on-site and some lovely gardens. Communication is great, was good to have some very useful pre stay information (including good directions of how to find the cottage) and also some further information on-site. Great location, quiet but only a few minutes drive away from the main road with easy access to Falmouth and Truro. Short drive to some beautiful coastal towns, Porthleven is a must as is Tintagel (a longer drive but worth it). Handy supermarket and local shop not far away. Would definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again."

"Little Avalon at Trewena was perfect for the two of us. We relished the peaceful rural setting, and our strolls around the grounds every morning and evening. The cottage itself is very comfortable and full of charm, and had everything we needed. The kitchen is well supplied. It was also a perfect location for us. The owners, Rich and Hellen, were very friendly, pleasant and helpful during booking, arrival and departure. The information they sent us once we'd booked was comprehensive and useful. Also must include a mention for the Flicka Donkey Sanctuary across the road - well worth a visit."

Great location if you want to be close to Falmouth and Penryn, with easy access to major roads to take you elsewhere in the region. Sits on a hill, so fresh air is abundant! "We stayed with Rich and Hellen in the summer and found Trewena Cottages were an ideal base to explore the main sights in Cornwall ... Eden, St Michael's Mount, Kynance Cove and St Ives, and of course great for Falmouth. Trewena is very convenient with on-site parking and supermarket, pubs and places to eat nearby. The cottages have lovely peaceful grounds which are lovely to walk around and enjoy nature. Rich was a great host with lots of recommendations for hidden away beaches and off the beaten-path beauty spots."

"Had an amazing stay at "Little Avalon" at Trewena cottages. Rich and Hellen are friendly hosts and always happy to help us when settling in. Our cottage was spacious and had its own little garden. Beyond that we enjoyed wandering around the meadow and shared gardens. There's a firepit for BBQs but we didn't get around to using it. Too comfy indoors! Fantastic view from bedroom. Very relaxing. Great location for visiting Falmouth and south Cornwall. Plenty of stunning beaches and National Trust/English heritage sites to drive to. Will definitely come back again!"

"Lovely property in a beautiful position. All amenities as described and very well equipped. Extremely quiet, but still very convenient for Falmouth. Richard and Hellen very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Very good centre for exploring this part of Cornwall, but be aware of the 20mph limits in every village, even on some A roads! Stunning grounds to the cottages, lovely to have use of the meadow, etc. Husband even managed to have his morning jogs around the meadow! Visits from a baby bunny as well. Would definitely recommend the cottage and would book again if we came down here in the future."

Own parking space and a host/hostess who were there but also “not there” or “in the background “If you wanted to know something, it was explained and explained very pleasantly. "We had a really peaceful stay , few things we were a little disappointed with mattresse quite firm but that’s personal choice , quilt on the thin side, the kitchen did smell of damp shower trap needed a good clean , towels had a fusty damp smell to them luckily we had our own did speak to Richard who did listen and take everything on board"

"Stayed here for 9 nights and couldnt have asked for a better place, hosts were lovely , really making You feel welcome and relaxed, once we were there tho , they just leave You alone, no mither whatsoever , but were on call whenever You needed anything , excellent service in my eyes ! Little Avalon was the name of our cottage and was beautiful inside and out , the grounds are all Yours to roam about , they have a fire pit in a field , great to relax around at night , they are also in process of growing an orchard which once ready will be amazing !! Lots of Birds around , including falcons , hawks and eagles down to robins and other various small birds , its a little paradise !! I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who wants to either relax or explore alot of Cornwall, its all within an hour and a half drive to anywhere in Cornwall , We managed to explore most of the coast towns , villages and beaches, plus did Eden project and visited some lovely houses and Gardens too !!"

"Little Avalon was a beautiful place to stay. The cottage was decorated nicely with modern appliances and features (very handy USB Plugs!). Considering its location near a road, it never felt like you were on one. We hardly heard any vehicles at all, even those turning around on the driveway. Lighting the fire made it even more cosy, especially in these colder months! Overall we had a great stay, and considering we booked just over 48 hours before arrival, Rich and Helen were super accommodating and responsive. Their email containing all the information was really helpful, and it’s nice to see their commitments to improving their local environment with solar panels and planting a lovely orchard. We would definitely recommend staying here to anyone, and would come back again (especially in the summer)"

"Me and my partner stayed with Richard and Hellen in Little Avalon for a few nights whilst visiting Falmouth and the stay was nothing short of perfect! As hosts they were fantastic, very responsive and even sent through a helpful little guide about our stay prior! We were also offered a late check out option or to extend for an extra night although unfortunately had to leave to travel back so could not take advantage of this! The accommodation was set in a lovely spot in the countryside but only about a 10 minute drive from the city centre which was an easy journey and was clean, beautifully designed and matched the listing description perfectly. Overall it was a 10 out of 10 stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Falmouth but wanting to stay in a more peaceful spot!"

"just returned from a great week in little avalon myself my wife and henry our dog loved the fact that we were deep in the country with lambs at the back door. great field for henry with resident buzzard, but at the bottom of the hill is a major supermarket. location is superb excellent welcome pack. please visit the donkey sanctuary opposite. Richard can give great recommendations for places to visit. thoroughly enjoyed our week & cant wait to return."

"Our family stayed with Trewena last month 06/21, Richard and Hellen were fantastic in sorting us accommodation very last minute due to our original booking elsewhere being uninhabitable and dirty! They saved the day for us, or we were driving 6 hours back home, so we were extremely grateful to them. The accommodation is all newly refurbished, lovely quiet place in the countryside, but only 5 minutes from nearest supermarket where we popped in for breakfast sometimes and Falmouth and St Mawes only a few miles away, we drove all over to be honest. Richard was very helpful, came and showed us how to use the log burner late one evening when we got back, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend Trewena."
