Falmouth Week 2024

Over 10 days every year the eyes of Cornwall turn to Falmouth for its annual festivities. Originating as a sailing regatta as early at 1837, these days, with so much going on it’s hard to pin down a theme other than fun, fun and more fun. Sailing races now feature alongside, live music, food and drink events, extreme sports exhibitions, fireworks, and even the Red Arrows, there really is something for everyone going on!

2024’s edition takes place between 9th – 18th August. Throughout the week there will be a host of activities around The Moor, Falmouth’s pedestrianised square. These will include a large interactive gaming screen, a 40 foot Victorian carousel, and a bustling market which will be perfect for browsing and no doubt for grazing as well!

As usual there will be plenty for music fans to enjoy. In the past the festival has hosted 90s rockers Reef, ska legends Bad Manners and annually hosts Falmouth Rocks that has welcomed AC/DC and Guns ‘N’ Roses tribute bands. Those that missed seeing Queen or Fleetwood Mac perform back in the day have also been pleased at the opportunity to see a couple of great tribute acts combine for a trip down memory lane.

Attendees will also be treated to a Carnival through the town centre on which will be led by the fantastic Falmouth Marine Band.

That’s just a taste of the bumper programme that’ll be taking place, more information can be found at the event website here.
